Status Public on Nov 21, 2006
Title large airways, smoker 010809R, MAS5
Sample type RNA

Source name airway epithelial cells obtained by bronchoscopy and brushing
Organism Homo sapiens
Characteristics Age: 38
Sex: M
Ethnic group: black
Smoking Status: smoker, 14 pack-years
Lung: right
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Trizol extraction and RNAeasy clean-up of total RNA was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Label biotin
Label protocol Biotinylated cRNA were prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol from 6 microg total RNA.

Hybridization protocol Following fragmentation, 15 microg of cRNA were hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on GeneChip HuGeneFL. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 450.
Scan protocol GeneChips were scanned using the GeneArray 2500.
Description large airways, non-smoker 010809R, MAS5
Data processing The data were analyzed with Microarray Suite version 5.0 (MAS 5.0) using Affymetrix default analysis settings and global scaling as normalization method.
