Title Transcriptomic profiles of human aortic endothelial cell (HAOEC) which exposed to M(con) or M(Hb) macrophage supernatant
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary Cell phenotype switching is increasingly being recognized in atherosclerosis. Intraplaque hemorrhage (IPH) is thought to be a major contributor to plaque progression in part by stimulating the influx of CD163+ macrophages.
We explored the hypothesis that CD163 macrophages cause plaque progression through the induction of pro-apoptotic endothelial to mesenchymal transition (EndMT) within the fibrous cap.

Overall design Transcriptomic profiles of human aortic endothelial cell (HAOEC) which exposed to M(con) or M(Hb) macrophage supernatant for 6 hours were examined by ClariomTM S microarray.
