Title |
Transcriptomic profiles of human aortic endothelial cell (HAOEC) which exposed to M(con) or M(Hb) macrophage supernatant |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Cell phenotype switching is increasingly being recognized in atherosclerosis. Intraplaque hemorrhage (IPH) is thought to be a major contributor to plaque progression in part by stimulating the influx of CD163+ macrophages. We explored the hypothesis that CD163 macrophages cause plaque progression through the induction of pro-apoptotic endothelial to mesenchymal transition (EndMT) within the fibrous cap.
