Manufacture protocol Roche-Nimblegen proprietary. The design of the arary was custom tiling design for repeat regions in the hg18 genome using TRF database sequences. Straight-tiling through the sequences using isothermal 50-75mers (target 76C) using an interval of 44 (2,137,330 probes). No uniqueness checking was performed as it was a repeat array. The sequence for any initial sequence that was smaller than 50 bases was extended with itself in tandem, so that it would be >=50. The design included two control sets composed of 29,161 random sequence tiles and 181 tiles from the rDNA locus of S. cerevisiae.
