I have searched unsuccessfully for "copy", "number", "variation", "CNV" and "copy number variation" to see if CNVs are stored in dbSNP.
dbSNP currently does not have copy number variations specifically. It is possible that some submitters have submitted CNVs to dbSNP but didn't identify them as copy number variations.
NCBI is in the process of creating a database to house CNV/structural Variation (STV) — we hope to see submissions for this database accepted in the next few months, and the database itself is expected to launch in about a year.(07/11/08)
