Workflow of BioProject submission. Projects are registered in submission portal and accession numbers are assigned for citation in related data. Related data is submitted and includes the BioProjectID accession number. Release of the data triggers release of the BioProject, if it is still confidential, and links between the BioProject and data are created in Entrez.
