Human Microbiome Project (HMP) Demonstration Projects

The human microbiome and human health and disease

HMP demonstration projects were developed to investigate the potential relationship of changes in the human microbiota to human health and disease. High throughput genomics technologies were used to assess whether the microbiota in a specific region on/in the human body plays a role in contributing to health status.
