Iranian johonson grass mosaic virus:
Iranian johonson grass mosaic virus was first observed on Johnsongrass in Shiraz city in 1982. With the spread of maize cultivation,the virus was transmitted to maize by aphid vectors and is now presentthroughout the Iran. The virus is serologically and biologicallydifferent from other potyviruses of Poaceae but has 80 percenthomology with Zea mosaic virus.
